The Gospel
The Gospel message of Jesus Christ is the reason for our hope and why we create. At Pneuma, all of our art comes from a foundation in trusting in this Gospel and the Holy Christian Bible. There are many summaries out there but below is a summary to reference if you have not heard what the gospel is before:
God sent His one and only beloved son, Jesus, to Earth to live a lowly human life full of sorrow and suffering. He lived a completely sinless life and to willingly give Himself up to die one of the most brutal deaths on the cross. He is the only one to live a perfectly sinless life, and he chose to pay the penalty for the sins of everyone including you and me. For the penalty for sin is death, a penalty that every single person, except Jesus, would be condemned to but Jesus took that condemnation away from us and bore that burden on His own shoulders by dying on the cross in our place and conquering death just three days later.
For anyone who receives Jesus as their Lord and Savior, they acknowledge this payment and receive the Spirit of God to live in them. He is the only way to everlasting life and union with God who is one eternal God of three persons (Father, Son (Jesus), and Spirit).
If you have not received Christ as your Lord and Savior, you can pray a prayer of salvation. It can be something similar to this:
“Jesus, I am sorry for living a life apart from You. I receive Your payment for me on the cross and I believe You rose up from the grave and live forever more. Please come into my life and lead me as my Lord and Savior. I want to follow You and You alone. Amen.”
If you prayed a prayer for salvation, congratulations! Welcome to the family of God. A crucial next step is to get a Bible (many apps are available online), and find a local Bible-based Christian church to learn more about Jesus, His people, and His Word. If you are not sure about the Gospel message, we encourage you to reach out to your Christian friends, ask questions, read the Bible for yourself, visit your local Bible-based Church, and ask God to reveal Himself to you. You may discover something you never knew.
